In this role, you’ll get to:

  • Financial Data Entry and Management: Assisting with data entry into financial systems, maintaining accurate records of financial transactions, and ensuring that data is organized and easily retrievable.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Helping to process invoices, payments, and receipts. This could include verifying the accuracy of invoices, tracking outstanding payments, and assisting with reconciliations.
  • Expense Tracking and Reimbursements: Assisting in tracking employee expenses, verifying receipts, and helping with the reimbursement process.
  • Financial Reporting: Assisting in generating financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. This might also involve creating ad hoc reports for internal stakeholders.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Supporting the budgeting process by gathering data, preparing budget templates, and helping with the analysis of actual vs. budgeted performance.
  • Data Analysis: Assisting in analyzing financial data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement. This might involve using tools like Excel or financial software.
  • Assisting in Audits: If applicable, supporting the finance team during internal or external audits by preparing documentation and responding to audit requests.
  • Financial Projects: Assisting in special finance-related projects such as cost analysis, investment evaluations, or process improvement initiatives.
  • Financial Research: Conducting research on financial markets, industry trends, and economic indicators to provide insights to the finance team.
  • Compliance and Regulations: Assisting in ensuring compliance with financial regulations and company policies, such as tax regulations or financial reporting standards.
  • Financial Software and Tools: Learning and working with financial software and tools commonly used in the industry, such as Excel, QuickBooks, or ERP systems.
  • Financial Communication: Assisting in communicating financial information to other departments or team members, especially when collaborating on cross-functional projects.

Requirements:

  • Pursuing a degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. Relevant coursework or certifications in event planning can be advantageous.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with team members, clients, and vendors.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with precision in planning and execution.
  • Proficiency in computer applications such as accounting softwares, spreadsheets, word processing, and presentation software.
  • Creativity and problem-solving abilities to handle unexpected challenges.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with diverse individuals.
    Flexibility and adaptability to handle dynamic change and work under pressure.

Compensation & Allowances:

  • Competitive compensation package (Basic salary + parking credit).

As a Finance Intern, your day-to-day tasks encompass a wide range of financial responsibilities. You'll be immersed in financial data analysis, budgeting, and accounting processes. Your role includes assisting in financial reporting, compliance, and special projects, providing you with valuable hands-on experience in the field of finance.

Your daily tasks as a Finance Intern kick off with delving into financial data. You analyze income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports, generating insights to support decision-making. This role hones your analytical skills as you turn numbers into valuable information.
